Thank you for choosing Pan Soma Acupuncture.
I am here to help you achieve better quality of life. For the very first appointment please arrive 5 minutes early to fill out a Contact
and Consent Form, this will save time during the appointment. You can also download those forms at the bottom of this page and fill them out at home and bring them into your first appointment. For all consecutive treatments please arrive on time.
It is recommended and preferable for all acupuncture treatments that the client wear comfortable loose-fitting clothes that can be rolled up. Having easy access to legs and arms is essential to having an acupuncture treatment. Prior to treatment please abstain from alcohol or anything that may mentally and/or physically impair you. For proper diagnosis please also abstain from food or drinks that will discolor your tongue for at least one hour prior to treatment.
During a typical acupuncture treatment an initial diagnosis must first be made. Making a diagnosis includes both tongue observation and pulse taking along with multiple questions regarding the main complaint and all other body systems. Traditional Chinese Medicine is based off of how the body and the internal organs work in conjunction with one another, a full body assessment must be done to get an over all view of how the body is working to pin point not only the issue at hand but the root of its cause. In general acupuncture treatments build upon each other, so for chronic conditions it will take multiple treatments to feel relief.
